Not a full scale festival but Coverack's celebration of the arts to be held mainly outside on The Battery at Lambeage Hall.

PROGRAMME OF EVENTS

Running throughout the weekend Coverack Writing Group’s STORY TRAIL, free trail clue sheet available from Lambeage Hall and Coverack Village Stores. Six chapters in six village locations. If you Geocache you will find the location of the first chapter on your app otherwise use the trail clue sheet.

FRIDAY 20 AUGUST

“MISBEHAVIOUR”, a feel good British comedy drama based on the 1970 Miss World Contest in London and starring Keira Knightly. Tickets £5 through
Ticket Source or on the door if there is space.

BAR OPEN 19.00 plus ice cream and snacks.

COVERACK WRITING GROUP launch their new Anthology.

ART RAFFLE with prizes of original artworks kindly donated from local creators. 50% of the sales will benefit Coverack School.

COVERACK ART SOCIETY display 100 Art Cards on the walls of Lambeage Hall, ready for Sunday’s Secret Sale. Painted by artists from Cornwall and beyond.

SATURDAY 21 AUGUST

From 16.00 On THE BATTERY OR IN LAMBEAGE HALL dependent on the weather.

James famous PANCAKES available plus tea and cakes

16.30 - 18.00 THE ROCK CHOIR comes to Coverack. The Helston branch of this national choir are looking forward to getting your feet tapping or maybe dancing. Two 30-minute sessions with a break in between.

COVERACK WRITING GROUP stand with their brand new Anthology of Short Stories for sale, Book/DVD Lucky Dip plus the chance to contribute to an on-going poem. Coverack Story Trail’s free clue sheet. Read COVERACK SCHOOL pupils Covid stories and pictures.

ART RAFFLE as on Friday.

18.00 OPEN MIC NIGHT commences. A whole evening of local and visiting talent with MUSIC, WORDS, DANCE. Open to all adults and children, come and show us your creative side. ADDITIONAL PARKING throughout the weekend in Coverack school field. From the B3923 turn down by Zoar garage. Continue for approximately 1 mile then turn left signed Coverack. Continue until you reach the school CP sign.

SUNDAY 22 AUGUST

On THE BATTERY and in LAMBEAGE HALL

12 noon SECRET SALE PREVIEW of the 100 Art Cards painted by artists throughout Cornwall and beyond. Spot the artist, note the numbers on the cards you want to buy and join the queue for the sale start. Signed only on the back by the artist, all cost £35 each and 3 is the maximum number allowed per person.

12.00 – 16.00 THE GREENHOUSE BBQ with Neil and Leonie cooking a choice of great food.

12.00 PIMMS BAR opens.

12.30 ENTERTAINMENT from WALTER SANGER & KEVIN JANE.

13.00 SECRET SALE of Art Cards – DOORS ARE OPEN.

13.30 GWENDA & PETER WOOD, Coverack's own singing duo with a selection of their favourite songs.

14.15 ART CARDS remaining are reduced to £20.

BREAK until 19.00 when the BAR OPENS.

19.30 ROBIN HOBSON our own professional explorer and wildlife photographer presents: The Komodo National Park and Indonesia Sumatra & Java.

21.00 ROBIN HOBSON presents: Papua New Guinea and Islands / Costa Rica Wildlife.

Tickets are £5 per talk per adult, £2 children under 12 and are available through Ticket Source. If you want to hear about both adventures book tickets for both. Robin was a sell out last year and that was without number restrictions. Tickets on the door if there is space. All proceeds to Lambeage Improvements Fund.
