HOW IT ALL WORKS

All committee members are unpaid volunteers who contribute their time as and when they are able to.

At the Annual General Meeting  the Chair reports on the activities of the past year and looks forward to the coming year. The Treasurer also presents the Finance Report. It is an opportunity for the community to find out what the Committee are planning for the future and to raise any questions . All current Members then stand down and an invitation is made for individuals to form a new committee.  It often includes many of the people who served previously, as there are no restrictions on the number of terms served, but new members are encouraged and welcomed. At its first meeting the new Committee then elects from its members those who will fulfil the officer roles for the next year (Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer and Secretary).

Of course, the committee welcomes new members at any time of the year, not just at the AGM.

The main committee meet every 4-6 weeks.

Our Working Groups Comprise:

1. FINANCE    - including Financial Planning and Grant Funding

2. EVENTS      - including Events Planning, Bookings, Publicity and Website

3. PROPERTY - including Property Management, Maintenance and Property Development covering the buildings, The Battery (and Playground) and Community Garden
