HOW THE COMMITTEE WORKS

HOW IT ALL WORKS

All committee members are unpaid volunteers who contribute their time as and when they are able to.

All members retire each year at the Annual General Meeting, then a new committee is formed.  It often includes many of the people who served previously, as there are no restrictions on the number of terms served.  Following this, the committee then elects from its members those who fulfil the officer roles for the next year (Chairman, Treasurer and Secretary).

Of course, the committee welcomes new members at any time of the year, not just at the AGM.

The main committee meet about every 4-6 weeks.

THE SUB-COMMITTEES

We have formed five sub-committees which meet before the main committee meeting to discuss any relevant developments.  This is then reported to the main committee.  Members can join a sub-committee they have an interest in, and these are:
