COVERACK JU-JITSU

COVERACK JU-JITSU

Coverack Ju Jitsu club is a warm and welcoming group of people who want to learn a useful (non-aggressive) skill, whilst keeping fit.

We are an established club with a great group of regulars. We look forward to welcoming new members of all levels of experience and fitness from age 5 upwards. If you are new to the club, come along and try your first class for free!

This is a growing and popular activity, which is a non-profit organisation. Subscriptions pay for the running costs of the club, with any surplus being invested in new equipment.

We train at the Lambeage Hall in Coverack on Thursdays:

  • Juniors train from 6.30pm - 7.30pm

  • Seniors train from7.30pm - 9.30pm

CLASSES ARE NOT AVAILABLE AT THE MOMENT DUE TO COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS

WHAT IS JU-JITSU?

Ju-Jitsu is a Japanese martial art and a method of close combat for defeating an armed or unarmed opponent.

  • "Ju" can be translated to mean gentle, supple, flexible, pliable, or yielding.

  • "Jitsu" can be translated to mean art or technique.

This martial art focuses on using the force and momentum of your opponent against himself rather than confronting it with your own strength.
